Privacy policy

What this page covers. Stonespring Health Reviews is an editorial publication about pelvic-health products and clinical decision-making for OB-GYN-focused readers. We collect a small amount of information from visitors and account holders so that the site works, so that we can measure what is worth writing more of, and so that our editorial work remains financially viable via the affiliate relationships disclosed on our affiliate disclosure. This page describes each category in turn.

1. Account data (Better Auth)

If you create an account on Stonespring Health Reviews— for example to bookmark articles, save your clinician-questions list, or post a comment — our authentication provider, Better Auth, stores the following in a database controlled by us:

• Your email address (used for sign-in and for any account-recovery flow).
• A hashed password (we never store your password in plain text; the hash uses a modern, salted, memory-hard algorithm).
• Your display name and any optional profile fields you choose to fill in (for example, your specialty if you identify as a clinician).
• Session metadata (IP address, user-agent string, sign-in timestamp) for the purpose of detecting abnormal sign-in patterns.

We do not sell account data, and we do not share it with the retailers whose products we review. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time by writing to stonespring-health-reviews@polsia.app; deletion is performed within fourteen (14) days of the request, and is permanent. A limited set of records (the timestamp and email address tied to the deletion request) is retained for up to ninety (90) days to satisfy bookkeeping and anti-abuse needs.

2. Simple, anonymized analytics

Stonespring Health Reviews uses a lightweight first-party analytics beacon called PolsiaAnalytics. The beacon is loaded as a single small request per page view and transmits only the following fields:

• Your company's app slug (a non-personal identifier tied to this site only).
• The per-environment platform base URL the beacon talks to (this is a URL, not a tracker ID; it identifies the platform, not you).
• A coarse page path (for example, /articles/foo), a referrer category (search / social / direct / unknown), and your user-agent family.

PolsiaAnalytics does not set cookies, does not read third-party identifiers, does not fingerprint your device, and does notshare data with advertising networks. We use it to answer narrow questions — which articles get read, which roundups drive sign-ups, where readers drop off — so we can prioritize our editorial work. We do not use it to build a profile of you.

3. Affiliate cookies & tracking pixels

When you click an affiliate link on Stonespring Health Reviewsand reach a retailer's site, that retailer (and, in some cases, the affiliate network that connects us) may set cookies or read identifiers on your device. These cookies are how the retailer knows the visit came from Stonespring Health Reviews so that, if you complete a purchase, the commission described on our affiliate disclosure can be attributed correctly.

The specific programs we participate in include:

• Amazon Associates — Amazon's in-house affiliate program. Sets first-party cookies (e.g. a referral ID) on Amazon subdomains. See Amazon's privacy notice.
• Impact— a third-party affiliate network that mediates partnerships with several brands we review. Sets the impact.comfirst-party cookie (“irclickid”/“irgwc”) which expires after the partner's configured window (typically 7–45 days).
• CJ Affiliate(Commission Junction) — the largest legacy affiliate network. Sets the cjevent / cje first-party cookie used by participating advertisers.
• Awin— a European-headquartered network that handles several UK/EU brands we cover. Sets the awin / awin001 first-party cookie.
• ShareASale— sets the sasd / sas_tag first-party cookie used by its merchant roster.
• Partner-specific, direct programs that some retailers run themselves (for example, a brand opening its own affiliate portal rather than going through a network).

We do not control the cookies these programs set, and we never see the contents of those cookies — we only receive a notification that a click originated from Stonespring Health Reviews and that a qualifying purchase occurred. You can clear affiliate cookies at any time through your browser's privacy settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising more broadly via your operating system or a tool such as the Digital Advertising Alliance's WebChoices.

4. Reader email capture (waitlist)

If you sign up for our newsletter, clinical-update digest, or product-restock waitlist, the waitlist module on Stonespring Health Reviews stores:

• Your email address— the only field required to sign up.
• A signup timestamp.
• The source you signed up from (which article or page hosted the form).

We use this data solely to send the newsletter or waitlist updates you opted in to. We never sell, rent, or trade your email with the retailers whose products we review. Every newsletter email we send carries an unsubscribe link that removes your address from that list immediately. Admin-only operational access to the waitlist roster is gated behind our admin login; no public list or public signup API exists.

5. Other server logs

Our hosting platform keeps standard access logs (your IP address, the path you requested, response status, user-agent) for a rolling window of a few days for abuse detection and debugging. These logs are not joined to your account unless we are investigating a specific, documented incident (for example, persistent scraping or a credential-stuffing attempt) and they are not shared with third parties.

6. Children

Stonespring Health Reviews is not directed to children under thirteen (13) years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has signed up using a waitlist form or a fake account, please write to stonespring-health-reviews@polsia.app and the row will be removed.

7. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change. The “Effective date” at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes — for example, the introduction of a new category of data collection — will be announced via a banner on the home page for at least thirty (30) days.
